CoreAlign Connects the World!

An international audience of CoreAlign enthusiasts recently discovered why Holly's Pilates Village Owner Holly Holland considers the equipment key to the studio's steady growth in the past few years. In a recent episode of the podcast CoLab Conversations, Arwen Brooke interviewed Holly to highlight how the CoreAlign bridges the gap between traditional Pilates and dynamic movement, building balance, confidence, and strength in clients of all ages.

During the interview, Holly shared that she was able to expand the studio's class options and revenue after making CoreAlign a visible, central feature of the floor plan. Additionally, Holly shared how teachers at Holly's Pilates Village use the CoreAlign equipment to serve specialized populations, including athletes, advanced practitioners, and clients with osteoporosis, scoliosis, and neurological conditions.

Pilates Master Teacher Trainer Teresa Willis will help develop a Pilates program at the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) starting this fall. Teresa led a Pilates mat class at the school earlier this year at the invitation of her longtime friend, YPAS dance teacher David Cesler. The response from students was so positive that faculty members asked Teresa to teach nine more classes through the end of the year.

“I love working with high school kids,” Teresa said. “I'll be working with students with a wide variety of skills and different levels of conditioning, just like the clientele at Holly's Pilates Village.”

YPAS teachers are interested in weaving the Pilates curriculum into their class plans to improve students' conditioning and to develop a deeper understanding of healthy body mechanics.

“I have been feeling the pull to take Pilates into the community for some time now,” Teresa said. “One comment I've heard frequently over the years from my adult clients is 'why, didn't I know about this until now? Why don't they teach this in school?' I feel strongly that understanding Pilates is like finding the owner's manual to your own body. It makes sense that the earlier you get this knowledge, the more valuable it will be over a lifetime.”
