Introduction to Pilates Equipment: This class is good for beginners and focuses on fundamental exercises that will be practiced on the reformer, Cadillac, chair, and other equipment. New clients are encouraged to start with these classes or with private sessions. 

Buff Bones: This medically endorsed, full-body workout improves bone strengthening, conditioning, and balance. It's adaptable to varying levels and is safe for those with osteoporosis. We offer mat, reformer, and chair-based classes for those with mobility issues. See Mindful Pilates.

Buff Bones®

Buff Bones® (www.Buff-Bones.com) is a medically-endorsed, full body workout for bone strengthening and balance. It integrates Pilates, strength training, functional movement and rehabilitative exercise to improve the health and longevity of your bones and joints. It’s adaptable to varying levels and is safe for those with osteoporosis.  Pilates Village presents Buff Bones® on the mat and reformer, as well as a Chair Class for those with limited movement or recovering from injury.

CoreAlign Cardio

CoreAlign exercises are largely taught on your feet and are designed to improve posture, balance, and functional movement. Developed by physical therapist Jonathan Hoffman, the apparatus consists of a ladder, a set of straps, and two moving carts that can attach to either end of their tracks with a variety of elastic resistance settings. The CoreAlign stimulates core stability muscles to fire in perfect timing while executing challenging exercises, and its dynamic, core-controlled stretching and aerobic conditioning are a great addition to any fitness program. It is also a valuable tool for rehabilitative movement.

Intro to CoreAlign teaches you how to safely move with the machine and introduces you to many foundational exercises on the CoreAlign. It is a prerequisite for joining ongoing CoreAlign group classes.

Deep Stretch Pilates

Find relief from tight shoulders, hips, and backs in this assisted stretching class. We will use Pilates equipment and props to learn how to use activation and then release techniques to improve flexibility in all areas of the body.

Mat and Springboard

Mat Pilates infused with springboard, tower and Wunda Chair.

Pilates Next Steps

Next Step classes are designed for clients who are ready to progress beyond the Beginner level but are not yet ready for the rigors of our continuing classes.

Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow is for students who are progressing comfortably through the Pilates repertoire on all the equipment and are ready for steady pacing and greater challenge as they increase strength and stamina with the exercises.

Strength and Stamina

In this mixed-equipment class, we experiment with how long we can stay with a posture, how many reps we can do in great form, and how many ways we can challenge the same muscle group on a variety of apparatus. In each exercise, progressive levels are offered to increase the difficulty of the work at a pace that is right for your body. This is a vigorous class and we keep it moving, so bring your water bottle and be prepared to sweat!

TRX Cardio

Work up a sweat and challenge your strength, stamina, and balance as you learn how to engage your core with a series of heart-pumping exercises targeting every major muscle group.
